2011: The Adult Industry in Photos, Part 4 (SFW)

"2011: The Adult Industry in Photos" is a candid look back at the past twelve months at a business that is headquartered in the San Fernando Valley. Continued from Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Here are two more "must-see porn" movies that we recommend from last year:

Lost and Found (New Sensations). The ninth release in the studio's "Romance Series" line (catering to women and couples), its title and premise ("Boy meets girl, boy finds her lost dog, boy hides dog") are remarkably similar to the 1999 Hollywood romantic comedy/box office bomb starring David Spade and Sophie Marceau. And yet the porn remake exceeds the mainstream version in every way, from script, to casting, to production. The chemistry between lead actors Allie Haze and Xander Corvus is believably charming. The trailer was even presented in such a fashion that one could easily mistake it for a mainstream feature. Director Eddie Powell really hit his stride with Lost and Found, so unfortunately for him the challenge will be creating another title that will set the bar even higher than this one did.

Lost and Found is nominated for seven AVN Awards including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene, Best Director, Best Feature, Best Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actor.

Here Cums the President (Goodnight Media/Capitol Entertainment Agency). We briefly mentioned Lee Roy Myers yesterday. Credited with directing over 30 porn parodies of such mainstream fare as Seinfeld, Reno 911, The Big Lebowski, The Human Centipede (First Sequence), and The Simpsons, he is the master of the genre, and last year was coined, "The thinking man's pornographer." For this project, Myers teamed with newcomer Ronald Raygun for what are essentially a series of adult-themed Saturday Night Live sketches about Presidential sexual liaisons, interspersed by comments from the always-entertaining Evan Stone, in a rare non-sex appearance as host George Washington. And while the casting choices are at times comical (e.g. the chiseled Tommy Gunn as wheelchair-bound FDR or cougar Lisa Ann as Monica Lewinsky) the script is cleverly-written and the dialogue expertly delivered. Plus, there's a certain glee from seeing Anthony Rosano as Richard M. Nixon and James Deen as Bill Clinton.

Here Cums the President is nominated for two XBIZ Awards including Vignette Release of the Year and Supporting Acting Performance of the Year - Male.

Part Five tomorrow.
